Box/line reduction is the reverse technique: clean a box using a line.
How it works
Sometimes a digit in a row or column fits only in cells that fall inside one box. Then inside that box the digit is bound to this line, so you can remove it from the rest of the box. It's the flip side of pointing pairs.
