Technique: X-Wing

X-Wing is a rectangle technique: one digit across two rows and two columns.

How it works

If in two rows a digit fits in only the same two columns, the four cells form a rectangle. In those two columns the digit must sit on these rows — so it can be removed from the rest of both columns.
